Friday, April 9, 2021 | Drive-In Live Concert: Stone Flower Santana Tribute

Stone Flower is a passionate, high-energy tribute to the legendary Carlos Santana and his namesake group. The show features performances true to the hits and fan favorites of Santana over their iconic 50 plus year career.The name "Stone Flower" comes from a song of the same name, off Santana's "Caravanserai" Album. This album represented a pivotal point in the evolution of Santana's sound from the Latin Rock/Blues, through the fusion albums, to the dynamic, Afro-Cuban collaborative rock sounds that define Carlos Santana and his band today.

Penny Lane offers a unique selection encompassing the British Invasion era of classic 60’s Rock Bands. The arrival of the Beatles in the US in 1964 marked the start of the British Invasion. The British Invasion involved numerous musicians and rock groups including The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Hollies, Dusty Springfield, the Animals, the Troggs, the Searchers, the Dave Clark Five, The Kinks, Steppenwolf and Herman’s Hermits.Though rock & roll music was quite popular throughout the 1960s in the US the British Invasion included a greater sensitivity to language, more mature storylines, and a move away from the superhero genre allowing more creative freedom and sounds that shaped the era.

Gary Adamson, founder/leader of BACK TO THE GARDEN 1969, has gathered a group of seasoned players who have toured, performed, and recorded nationally. The musicians all are multi-instrumentalists, as well as unique lead vocalists. They bring to life the music and spirit of the Woodstock era. By performing these well loved favorites, they remind us of the astounding breadth and depth of the music of the Woodstock generation.BTTG 1969 is a full multimedia theatrical Event in the style of Broadway’s Beatlemania!

NEW CONNECTICUT RENTAL & MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS 

There are two new programs available for tenant rental assistance and homeowner mortgage assistance.

The CT Department of Housing's Tenant Rental Housing Assistance Program ("TRHAP") is now accepting applications for rental payment assistance of up to $1,000 per month, for a maximum cumulative total of $4,000 of assistance. The payments are made directly to the applicant's Landlord. Eligibility and other requirements may apply. For more information, please visit the Department of Housing's website. Tenants can also call DOH at 860-785-3111 to determine eligibility for the program.

 

T-MAP Loans, the Temporary Mortgage Assistance Program Loans through the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), is now accepting applications for mortgage assistance of a loan up to $25,000 per household for mortgage payments that were due to lenders beginning with the March 1, 2020 mortgage payment, which may include principal, interest, taxes and insurance. Please visit CHFA's website for more information about this loan program. At that page there is also a link you can click to determine your eligibility.
